Website Creation Software: We were all novice once. I can still remember my first attempt to create a website with Adobe Dreamweaver. Well, that was a learning experience. In fact, website creation software is always a learning experience.
When I first started creating websites, static websites dominated the internet. Just about everyone knew how to create basic websites with Adobe Dreamweaver, KompoZer, Coffee Cup, etc. That has all changed now with the rise of WordPress.
NB I suggest the best way for you to get your message out to the market place is to get us to create a website for you. Click on the contact us page and we will get you online as soon as possible!
Let’s look at these two tools that help us to create websites!
1. Website Creation Software
Website creation software is just a fancy name for html editor like Adobe Dreamweaver and KompoZer.
I still create websites with Adobe Dreamweaver and with my own personally designed responsive templates.
But I must admit that I am using WordPress more and more these days. However, I still have several static websites which I maintain in order to keep relevant with html.
2. Website Creation Tool
What is WordPress? WordPress is an online, open source website creation tool written in php. It is probably the easiest and most powerful blogging and website content management system in existence today.
Because WordPress is an open source tool or software, it is free to use. In other words, WordPress is a free blogging platform. You can download WordPress for free and upload it to your web hosting. Once you set up WordPress, you can use themes and plugins to customize your website.
What are WordPress themes? Many WordPress themes and plugins are free; however, you can purchase WordPress themes and plugins that will suit whatever you want to achieve for your website. I usually use Studio Press child themes with the Genesis Framework.
One of the advantages of using a good theme is that they usually provide instructions on how to create and customize your website. These themes will also have customized webpages that you can use with minimum editing. Once you have set up WordPress, you simply need to add content and WordPress and your WordPress theme will do the rest. If you wanted to change something on one page on a static website, usually you would need to change it on every webpage. With WordPress you only need to change it once and all the webpages change.
However, not everyone can set up WordPress and the WordPress themes. If you want a WordPress website set up, you can contact us for more information.
